All U.S. States Now Compliant Ahead of REAL ID Deadline 

DHS Enforcing Critical Identification Requirements to Protect the Homeland 

 

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS or the Department) is announcing that after more than 15 years since Congress passed the REAL ID Act, all 50 states are now in full compliance issuing these cards, with most states becoming compliant in the last four years. To date, the 50 states have issued more than 105 million REAL ID-compliant driver’s licenses and identification cards, representing 38 percent of all driver’s licenses and identification card holders. 

On October 1, 2021 – less than 13 months away – full enforcement of REAL ID will take effect at all federally regulated airports, federal facilities, and nuclear power plants. Link

The Genetic Engineering Genie Is Out of the Bottle

The next pandemic, Vivek Wadhwa writes in Foreign Policy, could well be bioengineered in someone’s garage using cheap and widely available technology.

[I]f genetic engineering wasn’t behind this pandemic, it could very well unleash the next one. With COVID-19 bringing Western economies to their knees, all the world’s dictators now know that pathogens can be as destructive as nuclear missiles. What’s even more worrying is that it no longer takes a sprawling government lab to engineer a virus. Thanks to a technological revolution in genetic engineering, all the tools needed to create a virus have become so cheap, simple, and readily available that any rogue scientist or college-age biohacker can use them, creating an even greater threat. Experiments that could once only have been carried out behind the protected walls of government and corporate labs can now practically be done on the kitchen table with equipment found on Amazon. Genetic engineering—with all its potential for good and bad—has become democratized.

If experimenting with DNA once required years of experience, sophisticated labs, and millions of dollars, CRISPR has changed all that… Very little of this research is limited by regulations, largely because regulators don’t yet understand what has suddenly become possible.

There really is no turning back to correct the mistakes of the past. The genie cannot be put back in the bottle. We must treat the coronavirus pandemic as a full dress rehearsal of what is to come—unfortunately, that includes not only viruses that erupt from nature, but also those that will be deliberately engineered by humans. We must learn very quickly to build the same types of types of defenses that our computers have against their invaders. The good that might ultimately come from this is the cure for all disease. The Little-Known Story of World War II’s ‘Last Million’ Displaced People

A new book by historian David Nasaw tells the story of refugees who could not—or would not—return home after the conflict

In the immediate aftermath of World War II, upward of six million concentration camp survivors, prisoners of war, enslaved laborers, Nazi collaborators and political prisoners flocked to Germany. The Allies repatriated the majority of these individuals to their home countries (or helped them resettle elsewhere) within the next several months. But by late 1945, more than one million remained unable—or unwilling—to return home.

A new book by historian David Nasaw chronicles these displaced persons’ stories, exploring the political factors that prevented them from finding asylum. Titled The Last Million: Europe’s Displaced Persons From World War to Cold War, the text follows the “three to five years [refugees spent] in displaced persons camps, temporary homelands in exile, divided by nationality, with their own police forces, churches and synagogues, schools, newspapers, theaters, and infirmaries,” per the book’s description.  Link

UK Tests if COVID-19 Vaccines Might Work Better Inhaled (AP) British scientists are beginning a small study comparing how two experimental coronavirus vaccines might work when they are inhaled by people instead of being injected.In a statement on Monday, researchers at Imperial College London and Oxford University said a trial involving 30 people would test vaccines developed by both institutions when participants inhale the droplets in their mouths, which would directly target their respiratory systems.

Commanding Prostration, Causing a Certain Effect

And all the king's servants, that were in the king's gate, bowed, and reverenced Haman: for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence.

Then the king's servants, which were in the king's gate, said unto Mordecai, Why transgressest thou the king's commandment?  Esther 3:2-3

Prostration before top-ranking officials is universal in the Orient.  It seems strange to us that the King had to give a special command for the benefit of Haman.  It appears as there was reluctance on the part of some of the subjects to do so, necessitating this special order. 

Haman knew that Mordechai would not bow.  He therefore persuaded the King to enact a law requiring that everyone bow down to him.  This Mordechai would be guilty of a royal decree.  The so-called felony would provide Haman with the provocation he needed to annihilate the Jews. 

But Mordechai would not bow down..It is very interesting but this is written in the future tense.  The future tense signifies a decision not to bow under any circumstances rather than a decision taken for a particular occasion such as this historical narrative.

How does this tie into the Book of Revelation?

And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:  Revelation 13: 15-16

What catches my eye is the word "cause".  What does it mean?  So I looked up the definition in the American Heritage Dictionary: 

• n. The producer of an effect, result, or consequence.
• n.The one, such as a person, event, or condition, that is responsible for an action or result.

What I see is that the second beast, And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon, causeth them that dwell upon the earth to worship the first beast whose deadly wound was healed as we see in verse 12.

¹² And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

He then does great wonders making fire come down from heaven on earth in the sight of men (note it does not say all men so this was localized and universal)

He then deceives or seduces inhabitants of the earth again note, it does say on only men (humans) that they should make an image to the beast whose head was wounded by a sword and did live.  (verse 14)  Does this include Synthetic Beings, General Embodied Artificial Intelligence, and so forth?  I believe it does.  Human-Robot teaming will be active in building this image building project.

He then has power to give life to the image of the beast so it can speak, notice that it does not say men or human in our text. This technology we are seeing today coming to life before our very eyes.

As we see by the definition of cause, it is the producer that results in an effect.  Much like COVID was caused by the global managers with the effect to change to a global system.

This is much like the king who was forced to command, by edict, and order to prostrate with severe consequences if one refused.
