One might infer beheading as the method of killing as a retaliatory tit for tat in Revelation 13:

And I saw one of his heads as it was wounded to death, and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.  Revelation 20:4

The US military has perfected and prepared the guillotine, here, here, and here. Even NASA, in their Strategic Warfare document, sees guillotine beheading in the future of warfare.  It was determined that it is more effective than any WMD because it is up close and personal-installing a substantial fear factor.

We are getting close to the time when there will be a resurgence of guillotines as a form of execution.  Instead of the puppet trials of WWII, AI will determine who lives and who dies.

Wave of Death

Decapitation provides many benefits to the controllers so as in other distasteful practices, they want to repackage the image of beheading into a beautiful, practical, and humane method.

Scientists have begun decapitating mice to discover the time it takes until the creature becomes unconsciousness and the wave of death ensues.

The mechanism of the wave of death may be as follows:

Due to the lack of energy to maintain this potential, neurons lose their membrane potential at this time. The wave thus might reflect a massive opening of ion channels: a depolarization wave. The still-functioning of these ion channels in the period before the wave might be responsible for the observed difference in the pre-wave and post-wave power of the EEG. Hence, it is thought that the wave represents the synchronous death of brain neurons, expressed in a wave of death.

Humane Death?

Whether for animals or humans, the UN is all about creating the illusion of humane treatment as they conduct insidious operations.

The question of whether decapitation is a humane method of euthanasia in awake animals is being debated. In gathering arguments in this debate, obsolete rats were decapitated while recording the EEG, both of awake rats and anesthetized rats. Following decapitation, a fast and global loss of brainpower as demonstrated by an EEG was observed.  The brainpower in the 13–100 Hz frequency band expressed cognitive activity before decapitation but decreased exponentially post-decapitation.  The beginning of body and brain decay function began quickly, around 4 seconds.

Interestingly, the pre-decapitation EEG of the anesthetized animals showed a burst suppression pattern quite different from the awake animals.

After 50 seconds (awake group) or 80 seconds (anesthetized group) following decapitation, a high amplitude slow wave was observed. It is believed that this wave might be due to a simultaneous massive loss of membrane potentials of the neurons or still functioning ion channels, which keep the brain membrane potential intact.

Two conclusions were drawn from this experiment. It is likely that consciousness vanishes within seconds after decapitation, implying that decapitation is a quick and not an inhumane method of euthanasia.

It appears as though the massive wave which can be recorded approximately one minute after decapitation reflects the ultimate barrier between life and death.

This observation might have implications in the discussions on the appropriate time for organ donation.

Decapitation Process

Decapitation is a procedure achieved by swiftly cutting the neck of a human or animal close to the head, by using a guillotine with a sharp blade.

Some believe decapitation induces distress and pain. The controversy is mainly created by the uncertain interpretation of the brain activity seen from the moment of the neck cut to the point that the EEG is iso-electric, indicating deep unconsciousness. The duration of EEG iso-electricity varies from a few seconds to 14 seconds.  The isoelectric point is the pH at which a molecule carries no net electrical charge or is electrically neutral in the statistical mean, basically the place where the brain is viable.

The question of how long consciousness is present after a neck cut is essential to gauge the humane nature and acceptability of decapitation.

In the rat experiments, the animals were immobilized by an experienced animal technician, with their head in the guillotine opening while an EEG cable was connected. Subsequently, the animals were decapitated swiftly. The guillotine was constructed by the Mechanical Workshop of the Faculty of Social Sciences. It consisted of a metal frame and a sharp blade, which could be operated by one hand.

Test Results

In observing the headless body of the rats, repetitive synchronous jerking of the hind legs is visible, lasting for about one minute and a mouth-chewing on the head portion.  These movements are true of anesthetized rats as well.

Following decapitation in both groups, a fast and global decay of the brain frequency power is observed.

An exponential decay function post-decapitation shows that within 5.5 seconds the brainpower reduced to 50% with a 95% decline between 5.0 and 6.1 seconds.

The power of the brain EEG in the band was between 13 and 100 Hz. The power in this band is recognized as expressing vigilance and the ability to experience sensory perceptions, including pain, whereas the lack of activity in this band is interpreted as an unequivocal loss of sensibility. The brainpower of the post decapitation according to EEG for the cognitive loss was 95% achieved between 3.5 to 4.1 seconds

EEG showed a relatively long time after execution when the EEG has amply reached iso-electricity, defined as at most 10% brainpower left.   All EEGs go to virtual zero or silent at 120 seconds after decapitation.

The wave of death is represented by the large slow wave around occurs around 50 seconds after decapitation for the awake animals and around 80 seconds for the anesthetized group.

Decapitation Discussion

Unconsciousness and decreased cognitive band of 50% are reached within 3.7 seconds.

The resemblance of the brainpower of the post decapitation EEG  implies that consciousness is briefly enhanced immediately after the neck cut. The interpretation might be that the cut is such a powerful arousal stimulus even in anesthetized animals who regain consciousness.  The truth is that when a person is at the precipice of death, there is a massive surge of electrical activity in the brain, even in non-decapitation deaths.

The results presented here warrant the conclusion that decapitation leads to a rapid loss of consciousness, so it seems safe to assume that in 3–4 seconds after beheading the animal is unconscious, unable to perceive stress and pain.

The conclusion of studies, however, does not imply that decapitation is recommended in all situations. It is an offensive method which has an esthetical disadvantage: performing and observing this technique is displeasing. Moreover, achieving decapitation requires experienced and skilled personnel.

Conclusion of Studies

It is concluded from this experimental work that consciousness is likely to vanish within some seconds after decapitation. It is therefore implied that beheading is a quick and humane method of euthanasia.

Interestingly, it seems that it takes nearly one minute for neurons to lose their membrane potentials — the massive wave which can be recorded approximately one minute after decapitation ultimately reflects brain death.

What this means is that the UN has their Stamping Out Manual; the military has been readied; and the green light for decapitations to begin.
