BOOK OF LIFE, BOOK OF THE LIVING

The expression "Book of Life" appears only once in the Bible:

"Let them be blotted out of the book of the living; let them not be enrolled among the righteous," Psalms 69:29

“And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem:”  Isaiah 45:3

Erasure of a sinner's name from such a register is equivalent to death:

Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous Psalm 69: 29,

Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin--; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.  Exodus 32:32-33

The belief in the existence of heavenly ledgers is alluded to several times in the Bible

Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom,  Isaiah 65:6

“The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, and with the point of a diamond: it is graven upon the table of their heart, and upon the horns of your altars;” Jeremiah 17:1;

“Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.” Malachi 3:16

“The LORD shall count, when he writeth up the people, that this man was born there. Selah.”  Psalm 87:6

“For thou writest bitter things against me, and makest me to possess the iniquities of my youth.” Job 13:26

Origins of The Book of Life

From the time of Moses onward, the roll call of the redeemed has been closely linked with atonement (reconciliation with God). The Book of Life held much meaning for other world religions as well.

The ancient belief can also be traced to Mesopotamia. Babylonian religious writings speak of "The Tablets of Transgressions" and "The Tablets of Destiny," which record man's fate. If one's name was written in the sin-recording tablets, it was blotted out of the Tablets of Destiny.

According to this legend, every year all the gods got together in a special room in heaven called "The Room of Fate." Marduk, who was the chief god, presided over the meeting. Nabu, the god of wisdom and literature, took notes, recording each man's fate on these tablets. Again, the "Book of Life" concept appears in tablets from the neo-Assyrian period, and there seems to be a hint of the same idea in an ancient Sumerian poem.

Because of these writings, some modern Jewish scholars believe that the Sefer Hayyim (Book of Life) was adopted into Jewish tradition as a result of the Babylonian influence. Who's to say, however, that the Babylonians weren't influenced by the ancient Jewish ?

Other theories have been put forth as to the origin of the Book of Life concept. Some say it corresponds to the civil list, or register, in ancient Judea which recorded all the names of the fully qualified citizens. The idea of a heavenly register, they say, might have been derived from this earthly system so that membership in the Book of Life would mean membership in the divine commonwealth.

Chemical/Societal Erasure

Aborted human cell line

Why is it necessary to go into being chemically erased?  Early in 2020 I turned into Focus on the Family who had two show hosts and three physicians on this particular broadcast talking about the safety and moral issues of the “vaccination” AKA weapon.  The issue of the aborted fetal cells came up and the doctors said, and I paraphrase, that technically yes, the weapon would contain aborted fetal tissue cells but that they were chemically erased so it is not really an aborted baby any longer.

What is the biblical perspective on this topic of chemical erasure?  Can a person really be erased?  Does this erasure extend beyond the abortion issue branching into the silencing or erasing of individuals from the beast order?

First, we will examine the issue of the life of an aborted baby be erased.  When a baby is created it is this mystery of life between a man, woman, and God.  For it without God, opening the womb and creating life it does not happen.  If a baby is aborted that innocent is written in the Book or Life and I would also say the Lamb’s Book of Life.  That baby can never be erased.  There is no chemical on earth that has the power to erase the life of that baby.  It existed and was martyred for a wicked cause.  No matter how many chemicals that are used the imprint of that life is still in those cells.

Next, we must take a look these aborted fetal cells.  First this human life was subjected to the dreadful abortion procedure, but then this human life is broken down to the cellular level and is subjected to immortalization, against God’s law.  Once immortalized, this human cells are used in perpetual research and experiments.  The torment to this human will continue until the experimenting ceases of Jesus Christ returns putting an end to this evil.

Immortalized cell lines are widely used as a simple model for more complex biological systems, for example for the analysis of the biochemistry and cell biology of human cells. The main advantage of using an immortal cell line for research is its immortality in contrast with the allotted or a limited lifetime.

Immortalized cell lines can also be cloned giving rise to a clonal population which can, in turn, be propagated indefinitely. This allows repeatable scientific experiments under the umbrella of Experimental Evolution.

Immortalized cell lines are widely used as a simple model for more complex biological systems, for example for the analysis of the biochemistry and cell biology of  human cells but they can and do use animals as well especially in their hybridizing and fusing of various animals and humans making a chimera, and also fusing together animal and plants with humans together with robotics.  Once again, the main advantage of using an immortal cell line is for research is its immortality; the cells can be grown indefinitely in culture. This simplifies analysis of the biology of cells which may otherwise have a limited lifetime.

While immortalized cell lines often originate from human, they have undergone significant mutations to become immortal.

The Process for Immortalizing Cells

There are several methods for generating immortalized cell lines:

Isolation from a naturally occurring cancer. This is the original method for generating an immortalized cell line. Major examples include human HeLa, the line is derived from cervical cancer cells taken on February 8, 1951 from Henrietta Lacks, a 31-year-old African-American mother of five, who died of cancer on October 4, 1951.

Introduction of a viral gene that partially deregulates the cell cycle - the adenovirus type 5 E1 gene was used to immortalize the HEK 293 cell line; the Epstein-Barr virus can immortalize B lymphocytes by infection.

Artificial expression of key proteins required for immortality, for example telomerase which prevents degradation of chromosome ends during DNA replication.

Hybridoma technology, specifically used for generating immortalized antibody-producing B cell lines, where an antibody-producing B cell is fused with a myeloma (B cell cancer) cell.

Spiritual Ramifications

It is here that we are confronted with spiritual, moral, and ethical consequences of this type of experimentation and then inserting these aborted human cells into the “vaccination” weapon.  As we have learned the life (soul) is in the blood. We know for certain that Jesus loves children, and He talks about what will happen to those who hurt children:

Jesus said to His disciples, “It is inevitable that stumbling blocks will come, but woe to the one through whom they come! It would be better for him to have a millstone hung around his neck and to be thrown into the sea than to cause one of these little ones to stumble. Luke 7:1-2

What makes you believe that you will receive the blessing or health and “divine” protection when you consume:

  • An innocent human who was murdered
  • Whose cells became immortalized subjected to macabre mutation and mutilation
  • When cells are used endless experiments for the purpose of depopulating humanity under Directed and Experimental Evolution never intended by God but the very tainting of mankind is the Satanic plan.
  • Whose immortalized cells are then inserted into a pharmaceutical tool that will protect and provide you with health?

Is this not calling upon a deity, pharmakia, as an used by witches or sorcerers for health?

If you have taken this weapon and known Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior you might want to repent.  I know that many of you were unaware of this evil and the Lord Jesus is always open for sincere repentance.

God has some verses in Revelation pertinent to our discussion on this topic.  I have many reasons to believe that even if I did not think this was the Mark of the Beast then what about the following passages?

The locusts were not given power to kill them, but only to torment them for five months, and their torment was like the stinging of a scorpion.  In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will long to die, but death will escape them. And the locusts looked like horses prepared for battle, with something like crowns of gold on their heads, and faces like the faces of men Revelation 9:5-7

I cannot help to see correlation between technology and the passages above.  The torment of souls who took the weapon and now suffer afflictions of the soul and body.  The torment of the sting of a scorpion (a lethal injection of venom), But these tormented souls live though they want to die.  Is this due to the immortality of these ritually sacrificed and mutated cells?  The verse mentions a crown of gold on their heads which we look at momentarily and the face of men-those poor human babies.

Write, Read, Erase, Again and Again

I hope you followed my article, Link and video, on NanoCubes which are a counterfeit Ten Commandments that are nano-sized, etched, and use gold (see verses above) and put into this pharmakia weapon.

NanoCubes have three parts:

·        Substrate or the foundation

·        Hydrogel/Quantum Dot Lithography which can write anything from transferring your soul to the enemy over to doodles such as the Mona Lisa or the signature of the lithographer.  The lithography is writable and like an Etch-a-Sketch is re-writable but cannot be destroyed.

·        An encryption stratum that seals the lithography from prying eyes.

Using a probe tip to shave away surface molecules, Temple University researchers expose 25-nm-wide patches (dark line at left), which serve as templates for reversible electrochemical formation of silver nanowires (right).

In an advance reminiscent of the children's toy Etch A Sketch, researchers have developed a lithography method for preparing erasable nanometer-sized patterns. Using metals such as aluminum powder they can then wipe the slate clean and start over again.  This new technique provides a way to prepare nanoscale metal patterns that can be erased and redrawn repeatedly.

Numerous procedures have been demonstrated in recent years for preparing nanoscale metal dots, wires, tubes, and other structures that may function as components of miniature electronic and optical devices. These are the operating systems inserted into your body that can write a counterfeit story of your life or be wiped clean.

By and large, these operating systems are irreversible meaning that the nanostructures cannot be re-engineered or removed

Scientists at Temple University started with a self-assembled monolayer of 1-hexadecanethiol on a gold surface submerged in a solution of silver ions.

After forming the wires (writing) and imaging the surface (reading.), the group adjusts the voltage slightly, thereby causing the silver wires to dissolve back into solution (erasing). Then they image the surface again and repeat the entire process. According to the researchers, the thiol monolayer remains stable throughout multiple write-erase-rewrite cycles.

This method broadens the capabilities of nanolithography and may be used to fabricate increasingly complex metal nanostructures.

Bottom Line:  This is a writeable, rewriteable, and if you have the key erasable operating system put into pharmaceutical products.

The Legendary Book of Life

Oral stories the Book of Life began with the narrative of the golden calf in the book of Exodus. The Moses, Mountain, and Ten Commandments, known as the Luchot, are presented to us as a cinematic Jewish Wedding.  God was betrothing His Bride, the Jewish People.  The Ten Commandments were the Ketubah or Marriage contract.  Moses breaks the Ketubah contract for it is better to be a spiritual fornicator than a spiritual adultery.

In his rage at the Israelites’ reversion to idolatry while he has been in seclusion on Mount Sinai, Moses has the statue of the calf made by them ground to dust, and he orders a massacre of its worshippers.

Yet having done all this, he beseeches God to forgive Israel’s sin and requests that if He doesn’t, He should “erase me, I pray, from Your book that You have written.”

What book is this? The Bible hasn’t mentioned it before. Does God keep some sort of ledger or log in which He records men’s deeds? Why, then, haven’t we heard of it until now?

The Israelites of Moses’ age probably had heard of it, because the motif of such a book was part of the shared religious culture of the ancient Middle East.

Gilgamesh

In the Babylonian-Sumerian epic of Gilgamesh, Gilgamesh’s friend Enkidu has a vision in which he sees Ereshkigal, Queen of the Underworld. Kneeling before her is her secretary, Beletseri, the Underworld’s official scribe, “reading aloud from a tablet in her hands.” From other Babylonian sources, we know that this “tablet”

Babylonian documents were incised with a stylus on a slab of wet clay and baked for preservation recording the lives of new arrivals in the Underworld whose fate Ereshkigal had to decide.

Important- Hebrew documents, unlike Babylonian ones, were generally written with ink on parchment that was rolled into a cylinder and sealed. If the igeret was long enough, it was called a sefer, a book.

BelEtseri reports to Ereshkigal on the lives of the newly dead.  In other ancient Middle Eastern texts there is mention of divine being kept on lives still in progress.

In the excavation the Sumerian king Rim-Sin of Larsa there is a letter wishing him a long and happy reign guaranteed by the gods in the “book of life [im-ma-til-la].” Rim-Sin was a contemporary lived early in the second millennium BCE, about 500 years before Moses.

Belief in the Book of the Living can be traced to Mesopotamia, where the gods were believed to possess tablets recording the deeds and destiny of men.

Examples are:

The prayer of Ashurbanipal to Nabû, the divine scribe, "My life is inscribed before thee," and of Shamash-Shum-ukîn, "May [Nabû] inscribe the days of his life for long duration on a tablet."

The exact equivalent of the Hebrew Sefer Ḥayyim- Book of the Living is found in a tablet from the neo-Assyrian period and may also be present in a Sumerian hymn.

When Moses asks to be erased from God’s book, is he talking about a Hebrew version of the Babylonian-Sumerian “Book of Life?” The text does not elaborate but what we can discern is that the Book of Life was known in cultures around the Middle-East.

It is not quite clear whether Moses is asking to die or simply to be relieved of the role God has cast him in and forgotten.

Other biblical passages also state or imply that God records his plans and judgments in a book, but the actual phrase sefer he-ḥayyim occurs in the Hebrew Bible only once.

This is in the 69th Psalm where the psalmist requests that his enemies be “erased from the book of life and not listed with the righteous.” Apparently, this book was conceived of as being for the righteous alone; the files on the wicked were kept somewhere else.

Book of Life in the Apocrypha and Pseudepigrapha

And so they inscribe as a testimony in his favor on the heavenly tablets blessing and righteousness before the ALMIGHTY of all:

And we remember the righteousness which the man fulfilled during his life, at all periods of the year; until a thousand generations they will record it, and it will come to him and to his descendants after him, and he has been recorded on the heavenly tablets as a friend and a righteous man.

But if they transgress and work uncleanness in every way, they will be recorded on the heavenly tablets as adversaries, and they will be destroyed out of the book of life, and they will be recorded in the book of those who will be destroyed and with those who will be rooted out of the earth.

And on the day when the sons of Yacob slew Shechem a writing was recorded in their favor in heaven that they had executed righteousness and uprightness and vengeance on the sinners, and it was written for a blessing.  Jubilee 30: 19–23

At that time I beheld the Ancient of days, while he sat upon the throne of his glory, while the book of the living was opened in his presence, and while all the powers which were above the heavens stood around and before him.  I Enoch 47:3

Now, my son Mathusala, all these things I speak unto thee, and write for thee. To thee I have revealed all, and have given thee books of everything.

Preserve, my son Mathusala, the books written by thy father; that thou mayest transmit them to future generations.  Book of Enoch 81:1-2

Book of the Living in Ancient Hebrew Texts

The Mishnah states that the Book of Life records man's deeds:

"Know what is above thee—a seeing eye and a hearing ear, and thy deeds written in a book." (Avot 2.1)

The Sayings of the Fathers also compares life to a shop with its open ledger of credit and debit. Following this concept to its conclusion, good deeds can cancel out bad deeds or vice versa. Or, as R. Simeon B. Yohai put it,

"Even if he is perfectly righteous all of his life, but rebels at the end, he destroys his former good deeds, for it is said, "...

The righteousness of a righteous man will not deliver him in the day of his transgression...'"(Ezekiel 33:12.)

One of the most common interpretations on judgment and forgiveness is found in an cient Jewish text:

"Three books are opened on Rosh Hashanah: one for the wholly righteous, one for the wholly wicked, and one for the intermediates. The wholly righteous are at once inscribed in the Book of Life; the wholly wicked are at once inscribed in the book of death and the intermediates are held suspended from Rosh Hashanah until Yom Kippur. If they are found worthy, they are inscribed for life; if found unworthy, they are inscribed for death."

Jewish liturgical writings also mention the Sefer Hayyim: Zakhrenu Le-Hayyim ("Remember us unto life") is a prayer that is said in the daily service from Rosh Hashanah until Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement.

It reads, "Remember us unto life, O King who delightest in life, and inscribe us in the Book of Life, for Thine own sake, O God of life."

U-Netanneh Tokef, a most poignant and stirring liturgical piece, describes what the Day of Judgment will be like: "Let us declare the mighty holiness of the day, for it is solemn and awesome." The prayer acknowledges,

"True it is that Thou judgest and givest reproof, Thou discernest and bearest witness, Thou recordest and sealest, Thou recountest and measurest; Thou rememberest things forgotten. Thou unfoldest the book of remembrance, and it speaks for itself, for every man's seal is found therein."

According to rabbinic thought, it is these three: Teshuvah [repentance], Tefillah [prayer] and Tzedakah [charity and love], that will ensure one an inscription in the Book of Life.

Moses knew who originated the Book of Life. When he pleaded with God atop Mount Horeb after the children of Israel committed the great sin of the golden calf, he cried,

"Alas, this people has committed a great sin, and they have made a god of gold for themselves. But now, if Thou wilt, forgive their sin – and if not, please blot me out from Thy book which Thou hast written!" Exodus 32:31-32

Here are a few more examples from Rabbinic literature we see the Book of the Living:

In the Mishnah (Avot 3:17), R. Akiva speaks in detailed terms of the heavenly ledger in which all man's actions are written down until the inevitable day of reckoning comes.

The Jewish Targum (Isa. iv. 3; Ezek. xiii. 9) speaks of the "Book of Eternal Life."

The Jewish Mishnah states that the deeds of every human being are recorded in a book (Abot, ii. 1; see iii. 16).

The Sefer Ḥasidim (xxxiii) pointedly adds that God is in no need of a book of records; "the Torah speaks the language of man."

On the basis of the above-mentioned reference to the Book of Life in Psalms and the of the plea of Moses, ancient Hebrew texts elaborate that:

  • Three books are opened in heaven on Rosh Ha-Shanah,
  • One for the thoroughly wicked,
  • One for the thoroughly righteous,
  • One for the intermediate.
  • The thoroughly righteous are forthwith inscribed in the Book of Life,
  • The thoroughly wicked in the Book of Death,
  • While the fate of the intermediate is suspended until the Day of Atonement"

Depiction of the Book of Life In the Hebrew Bible

In the Hebrew Bible, the Book of Life records forever all people considered righteous before God. To be blotted out of this book signifies death. It is with reference to the Book of Life that the holy remnant is spoken of as being written unto life in Jerusalem.

We can compare it in the Book of Ezekiel 9:4, where one of the six heavenly envoys:

"who had the scribe's inkhorn upon his loins"

We are told that there is a mark the righteous for life, while the remainder of the inhabitants of Jerusalem are doomed.

The Psalmist also speaks of a book of the living:

"Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.

Even the tears of men are recorded in this Book of God.

In Psalm 69:29 the psalmist directly asks our question, Can the righteous, those written in the Book of the Living be erased from the Book of Life?

May they be blotted out of the Book of Life and not listed with the righteous. 29But I am in pain and distress; let Your salvation [Yeshua-Jesus

] protect me, O God. I will praise God’s name in song and exalt Him with thanksgiving.…

"Every one that shall be found written in the book . . . shall awake to everlasting life".

This book is probably identical with the "Book of Remembrance" in which are recorded the deeds of those that fear the Lord.

Hebraic traditions believes that there is a third book, The Book of the In-Between.  That person must make a decision for or against God but is still on the fence.

U’Netaneh Tokef

The Full Text of the U’Netaneh Tokef-(Scanned from the ArtScroll Rosh HaShanah Machzor-prayer book for this festival).  We will read this prayer as it provides us with a great visual image of the Book of the Living being written:

So now, the Kedushah [holiness] prayer shall ascend to You, for You, our God, are King.

Let us now relate the power of this day’s holiness, for it is awesome and frightening.

On it Your Kingship will be exalted; Your throne will be firmed with kindness and You will sit upon it in truth.

 It is true that You alone are the One Who judges, proves, knows, and bears witness;

Who writes and seats, (counts and calculates);

Who remembers all that was forgotten.

You will open the Book of Chronicles – it will read itself, and everyone’s signature is in it.

The great shofar will be sounded and a still, thin sound will be heard.

Angels will hasten, a trembling and terror will seize them – and they will say, ‘Behold, it is the Day of Judgment, to muster the heavenly host for judgment!’- for they cannot be vindicated in Your eyes in judgment.

All mankind will pass before You like members of the flock. Like a shepherd pasturing his flock, making sheep pass under his staff, so shall You cause to pass, count, calculate, and consider the soul of all the living; and You shall apportion the fixed needs of all Your creatures and inscribe their verdict.

On Rosh Hashanah (Festival of Trumpets) the righteous will be inscribed and on Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) they will be sealed:

  • How many will pass from the earth
  • How many will be created;
  • Who will live;
  • Who will die;
  • Who will die at his predestined time;
  • Who before his time;
  • Who by water,
  • Who by fire,
  • Who by sword,
  • Who by beast,
  • Who by famine,
  • Who by thirst,
  • Who by storm,
  • Who by plague,
  • Who by strangulation,
  • Who by stoning.
  • Who will rest and who will wander,
  • Who will live in harmony,
  • Who will be harried,
  • Who will enjoy tranquility,
  • Who will suffer,
  • Who will be impoverished,
  • Who will be enriched,
  • Who will be degraded,
  • Who will be exalted.

But REPENTANCE, PRAYER and CHARITY

Remove the Evil of the Decree!

For Your Name signifies Your praise: hard to anger and easy to appease, for You do not wish the death of one deserving death, but that he repents from his way and live. Until the day of his death You await him; if he repents You will accept him immediately.

It is true that You are their Creator, and You know their inclination, for they are flesh and blood. A man’s origin is from dust and his destiny is back to dust, at risk of his life he earns his bread; he is likened to a broken shard, withering grass, a fading flower, a passing shade, a dissipating cloud, a blowing wind, flying dust, and a fleeting dream.

But You are the King, the Living and Enduring God.

There is no set span to Your years and there is no end to the length of Your days. It is impossible to estimate the angelic chariots of Your glory and to elucidate Your Name’s inscrutability. Your Name is worthy of You, and You are worthy of Your Name, and You have included Your Name in our name.

Book of the Living in the Apocrypha

The apocryphal Book of Jubilees speaks of two heavenly tablets or books:

A Book of Life for the righteous,

·        A Book of Death for those that walk in the paths of impurity and are written down on the heavenly tablets as adversaries (of God).

According to Jubilees 36:10:

one who contrives evil against his neighbor will be blotted out of the Book of Remembrance of men and will not be written in the Book of Life, but in the Book of Perdition.

In Daniel 12:1 and Enoch 47:3 "In the End Times, the Ancient of Days" is described as seated upon his throne of glory with "the Book" or "the Books of Life" ("of the Living") opened before him the book . . . will be rescued.”

In Enoch 56:1, the righteous:

"written before the glory of the Great One,"

According to Enoch 108:3, the transgressors "blotted out of the Book of Life and out of the books of the holy ones."

The Shepherd of Hermas (Vision i. 3; Mandate viii.; Similitude ii.), Link

Cease not therefore to admonish your sons; for I know that, if they will repent with all their heart, they will be enrolled in the Books of Life with the saints.

Revelation 3:5, 13:8, 17:8, 20:12–15 reference:

"two Books" are spoken of as being "opened before the throne, the Book of Life, and the Book of Death, in which latter the unrighteous are recorded together with their evil deeds, in order to be cast into the lake of fire."

It is the Book of Life in which the apostles' names are "written in heaven" (Luke 10:20), or "the fellow-workers" of Paul (Phil 4:3), and "the assembly of the first-born" Hebrews 12:23;

Allusion is also made also in Enoch 81:4, 89:61–77, 90:17–20, 98:6-15, 104:7;

2 Baruch 24, Link

'For behold! the days come and the books shall be opened in which are written the sins of all those who have sinned, and again also the treasuries in which the righteousness of all those who have been righteous in creation is gathered.

From Early Christian Writings we get the Ascension of Isaiah, Link

Ascension of Isaiah

  1. And I said unto that which I had asked him in the third heaven:
  2. "Show me how everything which is done in that world is here made known."
  3. And whilst I was still speaking with him, behold one of the angels who stood nigh, more glorious than the glory of that angel, who had raised me up from the world.
  4. Showed me a book, [but not as a book of this world] and he opened it, and the book was written, but not as a book of this world. And he gave (it) to me and I read it, and lo! the deeds of the children of Israel were written therein, and the deeds of those whom I know (not), my son Josab.
  5. And I said: "In truth, there is nothing hidden in the seventh heaven, which is done in this world." Ascension of Isaiah 9.

The ‘Book of the Living’ Mentioned in the New Testament

Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.”  Luke 10:20

“To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,”  Hebrews 12:23

The Book of Life is referred to seven times in the Book of Revelation (3:5, 13:8, 17:8, 20:12, 20:15, 21:27, 22:19), one of the books of the New Testament, attributed to John of Patmos.

As described:

only those whose names are written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, and have not been blotted out by the Lamb, are saved at the Last Judgment; all others are doomed.

"And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire" (Rev. 20:15.

"And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works". Revelation. 20:12

It is also mentioned in Paul's letter to the Philippians:

I urge Euodia and Syntyche to agree with each other in the Lord. Yes, and I ask you, my true yokefellow, to help these women who have labored with me for the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life. Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!  Philippians 4:3

Why are the Books of Life and Blotting Out Important?

The Books are evidence.  One might think of the Pearly Gates or Entrance to Heaven as a Courtroom Setting.  We have the following that plays our before the Divine Council:

  • God is the Judge who will administer Justice
  • Satan is the Prosecuting Attorney
  • Jesus is the Advocate
  • The Seal of God is Truth
  • The Divine Council, along with the departed souls are the jury

The Divine Court Hearing for Inscription

The court is not in session 27/7 or 365 days but only at appointed times

In between Rosh HaShannah and Yom Kippur in the Falls is known as the Days of Awe.  Where a person who is likely to be found guilty and blotted out can repent and find favor with the Judge, Advocate, and Jury.  This time is in the fall of the year which is symbolic of the harvest that is brought in from your life, be it good or evil with no fruit.

The Judicial Process for Inscription

  • During the Inscribing Process one can Tip the Scales toward his or her favor through repentance.
  • The trial as it where is a stark contrast between the Forces of Life opposing the Forces of Death.
  • There is testimony from both sides.
  • Jesus provides your defense if you are inscribed in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
  • We come before the great King of all Creation. We cannot possibly judge ourselves with rule or impart leniency.
  • The King has the power to extend leniency.
  • The King of Kings then grants forgiveness and does convict due to our human shortcomings if we repent.
  • Through your repentance the Judge King is moved to a merciful judgment.
  • You are then inscribed into the Book of the Living.

One note:  although good works play a part the Judge King will not only look at one’s good works, or bad works but also the intent, as well as one’s humility in repentance.

**Take note that the Hebrew word, rashim, for ‘inscribe’ when used one way means inscribe or take note.  In another form ll regulated, abnormal, wicked; Late Hebrew רָשָׁע criminal, רִשְׁעָה crime, verb Hiph`il (denominative) declare guilty; Aramaic רְשַׁע be wicked, Aph`el do wickedly.

Does this mean that there is a very slight difference between being inscribed in the Book of the Living or the Book of the Dead?  Is this why there is confusion on the Mark?

With peace and comfort knowing we are inscribed in the Book of the Living our eyes can well up with tears of joy at the mercy and lovingkindness of our King.

There is a Hebraic concept that is rarely discussed in Christian circles but is a common understanding in Judaism.  That is the word kares or being cut off.  For some sins with no repentance a person would be cut off from the community.  The procedure for dealing with a person in sin described in Matthew ends if a person remains defiant in his or her sin that person is cut off.  This is true in both a Jewish or Christian community.

The community is a mirror image of our relationship with Abba Father, Jesus Christ (Yshua), and the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh).

If we persist in sin God will cut us off

Is it God’s fault?

Is He not a loving God?

The blame lays squarely upon our shoulders and our free will choice to go against Him and His instructions to us.

There are some who cherry-pick with instructions to observe, but our God was, is, and is to come. From Genesis to Revelation, He and His Word remain the same.

It is incumbent upon us to do our due diligence to know what His Word says in all the actions and matters of faith in which we operate.  God blesses us with a mind and body and spirit for discernment.

Example:  We will be held not accountable if we murder someone and claim we did not know it was wrong when we never picked up a Bible to inquire to see if murder was right or wrong.

It is my experience, the Bible has ever answer to every problem that has ever been upon the face of the earth and plagued mankind.  This includes the plagues of technology and witchcraft.

The Eschatological or Annual Roll-Call

The origin of the heavenly Book of Life must be sought in Babylonia, where legends speak of the Tablets of Destiny and of tablets containing the transgressions, sins, wrongdoings, curses and execration of a person who should be "cast into the water"; that is, blotted out. The living are the righteous, who alone are admitted to citizenship in the theocracy, while the wicked are denied membership and blotted out of God's book (Exodus 32). The life in which the righteous participate is to be understood in a temporal sense, as temporal life is apparently prayed for in the liturgical formula: "Inscribe us in the Book of Life."

In Daniel 12 however, those who are found written in the book and who escape the troubles preparatory to the coming of the Messianic kingdom- are they who, together with the risen martyrs, are destined to share in everlasting life.

Chronicles of God

As with any manuscript, the Book of Life is filled with essential information that helps us appreciative the Divine Tapestry that it weaves:

God Himself is the author and keeper of the Book of Life.

What is recorded in the book? According to the Bible, everything!

King David remarks that even his tears are entered in that heavenly journal:

You have taken account of my wanderings. Put my tears in Your bottle— are they not in Your book? Psalm 56:8

The Psalmist also speaks:

Your eyes saw my unformed body; all my days were written in Your book and ordained for me before one of them came to be. How precious to me are Your thoughts, O God, how vast is their sum!… Psalm 139:16-17

And who will be blotted out of the book? God's response to Moses' plea for the children of Israel was "Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book." (Exodus 32:33).

But everyone has sinned against the Almighty. Does this mean that according to the Bible all will be blotted out of the book of life? No. God is just, but he is also merciful. In His mercy, He has always provided a means of atonement, so that we could choose life.

With our sins upon Jesus, God's righteous anointed, He can look upon us as righteous and worthy to be entered into the Book of Life.

Jesus told those who believed He was God's anointed,

Rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven Luke 10:20

At the time of Christ, the ancient Biblical tradition of atonement ceased. Was this merely coincidental? The Kapporah, or sacrifice animal, to accomplish atonement is nowhere apparent in modern Judaism – yet in original Judaism, sacrificial atonement is intrinsic and essential:

For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement. Leviticus 17:11

Is there a Difference Between the Book of Life and Lambs Book of Life?

  • There are eight references in New Testament to the book of life
  • Two of them refer book of life that belongs to the Lamb, Jesus Christ.
  • Seven of the references appear in the book of Revelation.
  • These are those whose names are written in the book of life are those who belong to God, those who have attained eternal life.

Paul refers to those who have labored alongside him as those whose names are in the book of life (Philippians 4:3), again identifying the book of life as a record of the names of those who have eternal salvation.

Revelation 3:5 refers to the book of life in which the names of believers in the Lord are found. These are those who overcome the trials of earthly life, proving that their salvation is genuine.   This verse also makes it clear that once a name is written in the book of life, Jesus promises that He will never blot it out, supporting the doctrine of eternal security.

Revelation 3:5: Jesus Christ knows each name in the Book of Life, a book of remembrance, as Mathew Henry said. And Christ will not erase the names of those whose faith is in him.

The caveat to this doctrine is that this book of life was written before the foundation of heaven and earth.  Jesus knew your destination and if you would reject His salvation and Kingship. Of course, if you repent of your sins and do not openly reject Jesus your name is in the book, however…..you do have free choice.

These are the ones who will enter the Holy City, the New Jerusalem.

They will live forever in heaven with God.

Since the book of life is that which records all who have eternal life through the Lamb, it’s clear that the book of life and the Lamb’s book of life are one and the same.

He who overcomes shall thus be clothed in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My father and before His angels. Revelation 3:5

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God made ready as a bride adorned for her husband... and nothing unclean and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life." Revelation 21:1, 2, 27

This book of life was written before the foundation of the earth, includes every believer, includes:

  • Those who refuse to worship the Beast,
  • Refuse the Mark,
  • Will be provided white garments,
  • Will reign with Christ forever in eternity.

Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die, Ezekiel 18:4.

Only those who reject God’s mercy have their names:

  • Blotted out of the Book of Life and
  • Partake of the “second death” when they are resurrected in the second resurrection to stand before the Great White Throne. The second death is eternal damnation in the lake of fire-Gehenna, according to Revelation 20:14-15.

The following Scriptures speak of names being blotted out, so it does raise the question, how could names be removed? (Psalm 69:28; Exodus 32:32-33; Revelation 3:5; 13:8; 17:8).

Our names are written in God’s book before we were born. The psalmist wrote,

Thine eyes did see my substance yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them Psalm 139:15.

Let them be blotted out of the book of the living and let them not be written with the righteous.  Psalm 69:28

The reason for the unsaved having to answer for their works is because there are degrees of punishment in the lake of fire. Those who know the Truth and sin against light, are more responsible than those who sin without knowing God’s will according to Luke 12:46-47.

There is not one Scripture that teaches that our names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life WHEN WE BELIEVE. There are Scriptures that teach that names can be blotted out of the Book of Life. In Exodus 32:33 God told Moses, “whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my Book.”

In the Hebrew Kapparah is the concept of covering over as if it never occurred.

If the names of unrepentant sinners are blotted out at some point in time, then they must all have been written there beforehand. This must be true because little babies, born and aborted, are saved, and it is “not the will of your Father that one of these little ones should perish” (Matthew 18:10,14; 19: 14; Hebrews 1:14).

Overcomers:  God promises that He will not blot out the names from the Book of Life, of those who overcome. Those who overcome refer to all the saved for John says, “Whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that over cometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? 1 John 5:4-5.

To the young Christian men John twice writes, “Ye have overcome the wicked one” Satan-1 John 2:13-14, and the Tribulation saints overcame Satan “by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony”-Revelation 12:11.

All…whose names ARE NOT written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world -Revelation 13:8.

The second says,

They….whose names WERE NOT written in the book of life from the foundation of the world,… Revelation 17:8.

Both words “are not” and “were not” are the same in the original Greek (“ou gegraptai”). The perfect tense is used which indicates “a present condition, resulting from a past action” so that John saw the future present condition which was determined in the past by an earlier action.

Both verses therefore mean that the names of those who will worship the Beast in the Tribulation AT THAT TIME, will not have their names in the Lamb’s Book of Life BECAUSE of their past action of rejecting the testimony of God and thus have had their names blotted out of the Lamb’s Book of Life. Their names had been placed there by God before the foundation of the world. God wanted them to be saved, but He will not save anybody against his will.

God desires all men to be saved and to come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth (2 Peter 3:9; 1 Timothy 2:4.

He therefore, placed all names in the Lamb’s Book of Life before the foundation of the world. Christ died for ALL- Corinthians 5:14

He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world 1 John 2:2.

Revelation 3:5: Jesus Christ knows each name in the Book of Life, a book of remembrance, as Mathew Henry said. And Christ will not erase the names of those whose faith is in him.

What about the Lamb’s Book of Life?

Is it Different?

Nothing impure shall enter heaven, only those who have their names written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Essentially, through our salvation in Christ, he makes us pure and able to pass through the gates of heaven. Revelation 21:27

Aside from appearing exclusively in Revelation, there doesn’t appear to be any difference between the Book of Life and the Lamb’s Book of Life. Unblotted names found in both guaranteed salvation in Heaven.

Revelation put more emphasis on the Lamb part of the book’s title because Lamb imagery serves an important role throughout the book such as in Revelation 5. In this chapter, the Lamb who looks as though he has been slain opens a scroll no one else can, which sets off a chain of events to enact the End of Days.

Why Does This Matter?

Understanding the “Book of Life” and “Lamb’s Book of Life” as the same book, we should shift our focus to the importance of having our names in it.

We do know however that:

  1. We want our name in the Book of Life. The only way to have it there (or unblotted) is by placing our trust in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. No other salvation exists, except through him (Acts 4:12).
  2. We have a calling to share this knowledge with as many people as possible. As it says in Acts 1:8, God calls us to share the good news of Jesus Christ in our hometowns (Jerusalem), neighboring towns and regions (Judea), towns of our enemies or stranger towns (Samaria), and to the ends of the earth (everywhere else). We have no excuse not to share this message.
  3. Be vigilant for the Beast’s persuasive sway. When the antichrist comes onto the scene, anyone who does not have their name in the Book of Life will worship him. We need to keep a watchful eye for the Beast’s appearance.

Summary

The majority of Americans believe in God, but that does not mean that their belief has an appreciable effect upon their behavior.  Performance of the commandments and even personal ethics and morality, often seem unrelated to the professed belief in the One Who gave the commandments and demanded a sacred code of conduct.  The first step in belief is to accept God as King and then one steps into being a servant [of the Most-High].

When we read or say he shall reign it is a constant. Scriptural poetry that past, present, and future are mixed and merged.  The intent is not to limit God rather He is not limited to time or space.  When He sees us, He sees the human being in totality-in the span of time not a fragmented person.

Jesus said these days would be like the Days of Noach.  Consider the Days of Noah.  Seldom does the Bible tells us so vividly how man failure has cosmic repercussions. Like many chapters in the Bible, this teaches us a phenomenon that is now a part of creation- the law of human action affects everything in the universe, a spiritual principle as binding as the Laws of Physics.

God’s memory is of another kind entirely.  It is perfect in terms of accuracy, of course, but that is not all.  God is not limited by time.  To Him, past, present, and future are merged.  When God sees a person, He sees the total conglomeration of everything the subject has ever done-and even the potential, drives, ambitions, and values that will shape his future action.  The total person is shaped by the sum of all his experiences, regardless of how many thousands of diary pages would be needed to record them.  It is like a person’s net worth.  Everything you have ever done has shaped you, the quantity and quality of your deeds, your ethics, morality, intent, sincerity, and so on.  God sees the total sum of man, as if he were living his whole life at that instant.  This holds true for what you will do in the future.

The remembrance of everything fashioned comes before You. In God’s remembrance all events are simultaneous because their efforts still exist.

A King’s greatest measure of majesty comes when His subjects willingly, intelligently, and enthusiastically choose to serve Him.

Choose this day whom you will serve, for no man or woman can serve two masters.

Blessings,

Celeste
