Days of Noah & Practical Christianity

The days that Jesus and the prophets warned are upon us, He is at the door.  He conveyed to us in His confidential briefing that this time would be like the Days of Noah.  Pray that you:

“May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;” Ephesians 3:18

As you are my dear friends, I can confess to the Lord and to you, that the Lord presented me with a trial and I failed miserably.  I allowed myself to get distracted and side-railed by cries for help. Consequently I lost two weeks that should have been designated to my assignment from Jesus. Soon, two weeks, a day, hours, or even seconds could mean the difference between life and death.   I am thankful that He gave me this test, so that I might rectify the problem, that being- refining my ark building project, established many years ago.  It also involves toughening up my character.  I am a women whose nature can best be described in Proverbs 31 with all its ingenuity, modesty, and compassion.  God is about to smite the ungodly and I (we all) need to be alert, focused, toughed up, and totally submitted to Jesus:

Arise, O Lord; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.  Psalm 3:7

The Genesis account in the bible does not share with us how Noah and his family felt as they were sealed into the ark, a seed bank of righteousness of sorts, as death and destruct swirled around outside.  Neither does the Bible go into detail on what Noah's neighbors thought about the ark project.  Matthew does however provide for us an indicator of what transpired:

But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.  For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.  Matthew 24:37-30

When I began a widow I began to have to make terrible and dreadful decisions that I never thought I would have to make.  I followed the path of Jesus but that did not always make the difficult choices easier.  Those choices and decision are about to get much more difficult in the days to come.

Have you ever pondered the anguish that was occurring outside the ark as the waters rose?  I envision the pounding fists upon the door.  Screams of terror.  The begging for compassion and entrance.  The hiving of mankind, crawling one upon another, as ants attempting to climb to the top of anything to acquire security.  Visions of dead corpses filling the view.  After days the air filled with the stench of rotting flesh that was once vibrant and alive but consumed with self gratification.  The weeping and gnashing of teeth as the wicked vanished into the outer darkness of the sea.

Ark-Like Home

I relay this to you my friends because as the events of prophecies written in the scrolls are unfurling before our eyes.  People that you know, love and care have not prepared spiritual or physically will begin to attempt to cleave unto your ark-type home.  At the direction of Almighty God, my prayer for you is that you have established a protective barrier against all manner of elements of wicked living in your home.

As God's protective barriers are removed, one by one, and judgment ensues it will be up to you to prepare an ark-type home with appropriate barriers from the ravages occurring outside.  For each of you, that preparation might be unique.  Listen to the Holy Spirit and when He advises listen and promptly see to that guidance.

As you construct your ark-like home you may want to model it in the pattern of the Temple or Tabernacle.  Why do I suggest this?

Ensure that Jesus:

  • The foundation and cornerstone of your construction project.
  • That all construction materials reflect Jesus from the smallest to the most grand.
  • Have an outer court contains a gate.  That gate declares your separation from an evil world.  Many are trying to enter in through the gate and they are trying without understanding Him from without when the Word makes it plain that we must come within.  John 3:1-16, Psalm 25:14  Matthew 7:13-14 says Jesus is the gate by which one enters.
  • Jesus is the only gate.
  • There are no short cuts for there is but one gate for all for there is no other name under heaven.
  • It is a wide gate to admit any who profess Jesus, but narrow in that only those who follow Jesus may enter.  He leaves no person left behind who calls upon His Name in sincerity.  Think about the width of God's love, mans need for Jesus, and the width of Christ's redemption.
  • It is a strong gate with the pillars of the Gospel that can endure any storm.
  • It is an illuminated gate, requiring that all sinners desirous of entering the appointed gate must be willing for the Light to reveal all his sin.
  • The gate was beautiful as we see in Acts 3:2 making it attractive to both the Believer and the wicked.
  • Our dedicated holy place will have a small entrance, a door.  John 10:7, 9 says Jesus is the door by which we enter.
  • There is a veil that separates the Holy of Holies of your dwelling place.

Noah's Ark also included a window and inside a holy fire for Jesus burns in the hearts of the dwellers.

I can assure you that you will soon experience a deluge of people wanting to enter your protective ark.

The Door

So Jesus said to them again, "Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.  John 10:7

When we examine the ark structure we know that the Lord instructed that a door was part of the design.  For a Christian, that door is Jesus.  Hopefully, He is also the gatekeeper of your home.

It is time that we post sentries both physical and angelic at our doors and call upon the promises of protection of our Lord.

Seriously consider the visitors you allow into your home.  You will be approached by many claiming the Name of Jesus, but He knows them now.  This is the time to exercise discernment and make tough decisions.

The Cleaving

Intermittently, certain people wanted to cleave unto my home perceiving that it is a sanctuary and oasis set apart from the world, and truly it is a sanctuary.  This  ambiance comes at the great cost and with much labor.  My husband, when he lived, and I toiled in the fields of both the spiritual and physical realms.  It is hard work, just as building the ark must have been laborious for Noah.

As the darkness of wickedness and judgment intensify your home will become a beacon of hope to the perishing who have not prepared.  You will have to make the call whether to grant them entrance.  I have heard many say they will share provision with everyone.  The Bible clearly states that if a man does not work he should not eat, Proverbs, and that the maidens without the oils loose out when the Bridegroom comes. Taking a page out of the Ten Plagues playbook, remember that Pharaoh's heart was hardened to the salvation and Will of God.  How much more so will the hardness that waxes cold be during the Last Days?

Incursion

You will be shocked to discover that this is a military-style incursion!  It is sudden and oftentimes brings hostile entities into the inner sanctum of your Godly home.

It is believed by many biblical scholars that the first incursion was that of the fallen angels, the nephilim, who mated with earth women to produce the giants.  As Jesus Himself says, just prior to His coming, it will be as the Days of Noah that these same fallen angels will revisit mankind with a voracity that was not experienced in the Genesis account.

The fallen angels have long been described with the ability to inhabit bodies and to shape-shift.  They might well inhabit the bodies or shape-shift into the likeness of your family, friends, and loved ones.

The wicked and lazy have countenance of desperation as they are aware that time is short and they have no safe haven before all hell breaks loose.

It is very difficult to say these words but relay them I must:

There is a generation whose teeth are swords and whose jaws are knives, devouring the oppressed from the earth, and the needy from among men. The leech has two daughters: Give and Give. There are three things that are never satisfied, four that never say, “Enough!”:

Sheol, the barren womb, land that is never satisfied with water, and fire that never says, “Enough!”…  Proverbs 30:15

Those who have not prepared or are demoniacs will cry and weep and tear at your heart strings, begging entrance into your peaceful home.  If you allow them entrance they will suck your spiritual and physical resources unto depletion much like the leech.  They are extremely needy and what you can offer is never enough.  As it says in Proverbs 27:20: Sheol and Abaddon are never satisfied, and the eyes of man are never satisfied, especially when they behold and covet the preparations that you have made.

I am actually seeing this in the physical realm, as well as spiritual, with my scale battle.  I had a lush and productive citrus orchard.  When David was killed my citrus trees were a wee bit neglected for some time.  When I saw them failing to thrive I examined them and discovered scale.  Scale looks like an abalone that attaches itself to the leaves and stems of a plant.  It has a tough exterior.  What it does is such out the life force of the plant until int finally dies.  Once it establishes itself it is near impossible to kill.  I am still at war against scale three years after the fact.  Due to favorable environmental factors I am noticing more trees getting scale.  Let this be a lesson on what allowing ungodly attachment to your home can do, even during untimely situations, when you least expect an invasion.

For the last year, and growing in frequency I am hearing the pleadings from friends begging, "Help my friend."  I am just one widow lady, following Jesus the best I can.  I strive to assist my friends, to the best of my abilities, but I cannot help their extended friend network. I am instructed in scripture to carry the burdens of my believing friends, but not the world at large.   It breaks my heart, but this is the reality of the days in which we live. These individuals made lifestyle choices.  They needed to prepare for these days but they did not.  They need Jesus as their Savior, but many do not want to follow Him.

It is much like a lifeguard who must carefully and strategically approach a drowning victim otherwise the drowning victim will take down both himself and the lifeguard dispatched to save the victim.

We have to get tough and face the facts that we are going to see many people perish.  I cannot speak with certainty, but I am convinced that Noah and his family, had compassion for those outside but they followed the Lord's instructions meticulously, and so must we.   Gird yourselves and your homes my friends.  Judgment is coming as swift as lightning.
