Warm up you winter with a spicy (but not hot) traditional recipe known as Mole.

Shepherds Heart Farm specializes in growing and preserving these rare peppers and keeping alive the culture of the ingeniousness peoples of Oaxaca, Mexico using modern cooking methods.

If you are not familiar with mole, it is a chocolate and pepper dish with about 10 other ingredients. There are different moles for different regions. Shepherds Heart Farms grow the peppers for many of them.

Mole is flavorful, but not spicy (unless one makes it that way). Mole is typically served on a bed of rice and chicken.

Join me for the day long journey to make my mole for the year. It is well worth the hours spent! In this class we will make: Mole Negro, a dark Mole and a Mole Poblano the lighter version.
