The Pentagon's latest response to the global coronavirus epidemic involves receiving "two Department of State-chartered evacuation flights from Wuhan, China" some time today, the Pentagon announced Thursday evening. One of the planes is headed to Omaha; while the other will land at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in Calif.
About 300 passengers are on board the two incoming flights. Upon arrival, "these individuals will be subject to a CDC-managed 14-day quarantine."
The Defense Department also chose 11 installations across the country where future patients could be routed as a backup to the backups, "should [the Department of Health and Human Services] facilities become filled," DoD said in a Thursday afternoon statement. "These are tertiary locations, and HHS already has primary and secondary locations identified that are not DOD facilities."
No more than 20 people can stay at each location "as they undergo a period of quarantined observation," according to the Pentagon. Find the full list of facilities, here.

Genetic modification could protect soldiers from chemical weapons (Science) Despite international bans, some countries, such as Syria, use deadly nerve agents against enemy soldiers and civilians. Existing treatments for these chemical weapon attacks must be given quickly and don’t always prevent convulsions or brain damage. Now, U.S. Army researchers have created a gene therapy that allows mice to make their own nerve agent–busting proteins, providing protection against the toxicants for months.

Sugar users facing unprecedented supply obstacles in 2020
Sugar producers and buyers are preparing for unprecedented tight sugar supplies in 2020 amid seven-year high prices. While the mechanisms of the U.S. sugar program should help with supply going forward, logistics issues and high prices likely will linger until a new beet crop is harvested in the early fall.
Sugar buyers in many cases have yet to feel the “pinch” of tightening supply, and some won’t feel it at all. Domestic sugar production and shipments were near normal in the first quarter of the sugar marketing year that runs from Oct. 1 to Sept. 30. But delivery restrictions began Jan. 1 for two major beet sugar sellers that declared force majeure in November 2019.

$9 Cabbages, Emergency Pork: Coronavirus Tests China on Food
Officials are pushing to keep produce flowing and prices down as nervous shoppers stock up, challenging the country’s ability to feed itself.
The virus crisis is testing China’s ability to feed its 1.4 billion people, one of the Communist Party’s proudest achievements. Cooped up at home and fearful that the epidemic could last weeks or even months, families across China are hoarding provisions, making it harder for shops and supermarkets to keep fresh food in stock. Many places have closed off roads to passing traffic, slowing truck shipments and raising freight costs.

Earth's Axis Is Imaginary
In astronomy, an axis refers to the imaginary line that an object, usually a planet, rotates around.
Earth's rotational axis is an imaginary straight line that runs through the North and South Pole. In our illustrations, Earth's axis is drawn as a straight red line

2019: Economic Losses from Natural Disasters Top $232 billion in 2019
A new report from Aon shows that 409 natural catastrophe events of 2019 resulted in economic losses of $232 billion. Of that total, the private sector and government-sponsored insurance programs covered $71 billion. The costliest individual peril was inland flooding, which caused economic losses globally of $82 billion, followed by a tropical cyclone, at $68 billion. Read more
Practical Tips
Censorship is running rampant silencing any voice that dares utter natural remedies that can treat viruses. In managing the Infodemic the messaging is that only the government can treat viruses and that will include their patented treatments for mandatory vaccinations. I have had some of my You Tube's censored and others have as well.
Vitamin C Protects Against Coronavirus
The coronavirus pandemic can be dramatically slowed, or stopped, with the immediate widespread use of high doses of vitamin C. Physicians have demonstrated the powerful antiviral action of vitamin C for decades. There has been a lack of media coverage of this effective and successful approach against viruses in general, and coronavirus in particular.

Not Bot, Not Beast: Scientists Create First-Ever Living, Programmable Organism
A remarkable combination of artificial intelligence (AI) and biology has produced the world’s first “living robots.”
This week, a research team of roboticists and scientists published their recipe for making a new lifeform called xenobots from stem cells. The term “xeno” comes from the frog cells (Xenopus laevis) used to make them.
One of the researchers described the creation as “neither a traditional robot nor a known species of animal,” but a “new class of artifact: a living, programmable organism.” Read more

Creepy Drones Managing People and Surreal Skies
Drones are making a surging comeback and DARPA has a program using GMO viruses that penetrate the blood-brain barrier, especially in men, and then can control the brain through telepathy. Integration of drones into our lives.
Collmot performs aerial mapping tasks with single or multiple drones, using cameras in the visible and near-infra spectrum. Besides the standard widespread drone-based services, like orthomosaic generation or 3D terrain reconstruction, we are also open to custom image post-processing, like object counting, clustering and statistical analysis of images.
We assist precision and organic agriculture with cm resolution RGB and NDVI imaging and professional consulting together with long-term external partners.
Our multi-drone setup also creates new possibilities for aerial measurements and footage, like synchronized measurements over a larger area covered by many drones, autonomous target following with aerial footage from multiple directions, or long-term continuous measurements with self-exchanging drones.

Bookended by Wasp Nests, These Aboriginal Artworks May Finally Have Definitive Dates
New estimates place paintings in Australia’s Kimberley rock shelters at about 12,000 years old
Tiny, trim and vibrantly colored, mud wasps are far more concerned with snaring snacks of spiders than appreciating works of art. But the insects will still build their nests on artistic creations—and in doing so, they sometimes inadvertently lend a helping wing to modern research efforts.
Reporting this week in the journal Science Advances, a team of researchers has used this stingingly clever technique to date Aboriginal art adorning rock shelters in Australia’s Kimberley region. Cobbled together in layers that lie beneath or atop the paintings, the nests place the paintings’ approximate age at 12,000 years old—making them about 5,000 years younger than previously estimated.
The thousands of dancing human figures depicted on the Kimberley rock shelter walls, called Gwions by modern researchers, have been known to science for more than a century. Slender, exquisite, and often decked out with headdresses, tassels, boomerangs and spears, Gwions don’t resemble other types of Aboriginal art, and the circumstances surrounding their creation have remained mostly mysterious.

IRAQ: Assyrian astronomers gazing at the sky almost 2,700 years ago were the first people to document the colorful cosmic phenomena known as auroras. These light shows, known in the Northern Hemisphere as the northern lights, appear when waves of charged particles from the sun collide with the earth’s magnetic field. When a massive solar wave hit the earth in the early 7th century B.C., the effects were visible as far south as Mesopotamia. Three cuneiform tablets from Nineveh record this unusual event, documenting a strange “red glow,” “red cloud,” and “red sky.”

Barnabas: An Encouraging Early Church Leader
Part one of a two-part character study
This is the first of two posts written by Dr. Robin Branch on Barnabas, an early church leader. The blogs are condensed from a longer article by Dr. Branch titled, “Barnabas: Early Church leader and model of encouragement,” In die Skriflig 41.2 (2007): pp. 295-322. To read part two, click here.
Robin Branch posits that Barnabas a middle-aged but physically powerful and muscular man who is both regal and commanding.
Acts present the evangelizing apostle and church leader Barnabas as a model of integrity and character. Calling him a good man (Acts 11:24), a prophet and teacher (13:1), an apostle (14:14) and one through whom God worked miracles (15:12), Acts loads him with accolades. Acts recount the times he faced persecution (13:45; 14:19) and risked his life for the name of the Lord Jesus Christ (15:26). Barnabas believed Saul truly had been converted (9:27), saw the potential of his kinsman John Mark (12:25), and championed them both at different times (11:25-26; 15:36-41). 1 Corinthians 9:6 affirms his character by noting he worked while serving congregations in order not to burden them. The apostles nicknamed him Barnabas, Son of Encouragement (4:36), and it seems like he earned it!
Bound by two ancient yew trees, this door looks more like a portal to a fairy realm than a church entrance. The arched wooden opening, capped by colorful stained glass windows, beckons visitors to unleash their imaginations and fantasize about the magical worlds that may be hiding on the other side. Going Gray Too Soon? Scientists Say It Really May Be Due to Stress
An international research team has discovered how stress may cause hair to gray prematurely. Their studies in mice and laboratory-grown cells showed that stress activates noradrenaline-releasing sympathetic nerves that are part of the fight-or-flight response, which causes permanent damage to pigment-regenerating stem cells in hair follicles. Last Word
From our study of Isaiah 1:
In verse 2, Isaiah speaks forth the words spoken of by Moses, “Hear, O heavens, and give ear O earth, for God has spoken.” Deuteronomy 32:1.
As we learned this week the heavens and earth were created by Abba Father and His Son Jesus Christ. Heaven is connected with the earth grammatically in the biblical text with a vav, and together they serve as two witnesses. The prophet relates a scathing comparison of our rebellion, with the example of beasts, even an ox and donkey know, though they have not innate intelligence, its master, most people do not know their Redeemer and benefactor, nor even comprehend their Master. God raises us, comforts us, and exalts us, just like we did with our children, and yet His children rebel. Imagine how it grieves His heart when we follow the path of rebellion.
The prophet tells us that we are a sinful nation and that we are. There is reason to verbally decry for a once ‘holy’ nation has into a sinful nation, the likes of Sodom and Gomorrah.
Please join us for this fascinating study of Isaiah the Prophet of Catastrophe. It could not be more instructive to our current situation with Chapter 1 covering: Sodom and Gomorrah, health afflictions, desolation, burning cities, antimicrobials, devouring of crops, madness, corrupt offspring, and touching on the remnant.
God Bless you from the trenches. Be safe everyone.
