On this 19th memorial of the events of September 11, 2001 let us join in prayer in repentance for all the evils that our country has done from within and without, most of all, forsaking Almighty God and Jesus and purging His kingdom from our culture. That day, judgment began upon our nation, continues and is intensifying, unto this very hour. It is going to get much as worse as the prophets prophesied.

One of the earliest snowstorms on record swept through parts of the United States, from Montana to New Mexico on September 8 and 9, 2020, bringing record-early snow and record-cold temperatures to much of the region. The weather system hit the region after record-breaking heat, producing a drastic 33 °C (60 °F) drop in temperatures within just 24 hours.
The slow-moving mid to upper level low that has been responsible for the early season winter storm through the Rockies and Central High Plains is winding down on Thursday, September 10. Link

New DHS Rule to Boost Biometrics Collection by 2M Each Year
A proposed rule from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) component agency coming out in the Federal Register this Friday would expand the collection of biometrics data by about 2.17 million submissions annually.
The agencies announced the forthcoming rule last week, explaining that the expanded use of biometrics would implement the emerging technology for identity verification, document production, records management, and to prove familial relationships. The rule allows DHS and USCIS to collect individuals’ DNA to verify identity claims, alongside other methods such as voice, iris, and facial recognition technology to identify individuals without physical contact.

The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has a fearsome reputation. The author and executor of countless coups and political assassinations, the CIA is notorious for waterboarding, “extraordinary rendition,” regime change, kidnapping, narcotics smuggling, financing of guerrilla wars, and many other unsavory activities around the world, including against Americans, even inside the United States.
But “fearsome” does not mean “flawless.” The CIA has failed at least as often as it has succeeded, and sometimes the failures are so flagrant—such as sending thousands of anticommunist guerrilla fighters behind enemy lines in Korea, Eastern Europe, China, and Southeast Asia during the Cold War, where nearly all of them died—that CIA insiders wryly refer to their organization as “Clowns In Action.” Link

The squash had traveled a thousand miles to rest quietly on Henrietta Gomez’s arms. The elder farmer from Taos Pueblo, a 1,000-year-old Indigenous town in northern New Mexico, held the light-green vegetable like a baby. Before that bright October morning, it had been several decades since the people of Taos Pueblo had seen a squash like the one in Henrietta’s arms, even though it had been part of the town’s diet since time immemorial.
Along with a seed bundle, the squash had been shipped from Decorah, Iowa, where it had been planted in the gardens of Seed Savers Exchange, the nonprofit that found the variety among the 30,000 kinds of seeds in its seed bank. Rowen White, an Indigenous seed keeper and the chair of the nonprofit’s board, had personally shipped the giant seed-and-squash-filled box a few days before. Link

US West Coast wildfire death toll rises to 23; More than 500,000 Oregonians evacuate as 100 major fires devastate nearly 4.4 million acres
Hundreds of homes in Phoenix, Oregon (mobile home park pictured), have been lost due to wildfires in the state. West Coast authorities have reported that at least 23 people have died in wildfires that are raging in California, Oregon and Washington state, as more than 500,000 Oregonians are forced to evacuate due to 100 major fires that have devastated nearly 4.4 million acres across 12 states.
A Northern California wildfire became the state's deadliest of the year Thursday when authorities announced seven more deaths. Officials said the number may rise as searchers looked for 16 missing people.
Three other deaths have been confirmed in Oregon and one in Washington state, authorities said. Link

If Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny was, as German leaders say, poisoned with the deadly Soviet-era Novichok neurotoxin, it would once again highlight the willingness of the Kremlin to deploy such toxins in civilian and urban areas — and the urgent need for better ways to detect their use. The U.S. military will soon roll out one such tool: a spray that can alert troops and first responders to the presence of such neurotoxins.
Novichok, a Russian neurotoxin that GRU agents used against double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter in 2018, is difficult to detect until it’s too late. Same with VX, the neurotoxin that North Korean operatives used against Kim Jong-nam in 2017 — an oily, heavy, non-volatile liquid that doesn’t decompose quickly or vaporize easily. So sensors that detect impurities in the air are largely ineffective. Link

Pocahontas might be a household name, but the true story of her short but powerful life has been buried in myths that have persisted since the 17th century.
To start with, Pocahontas wasn’t even her actual name. Born about 1596, her real name was Amonute, and she also had the more private name Matoaka. Pocahontas was her nickname, which depending on who you ask means “playful one" or “ill-behaved child.” Link

For thousands of years, ancient Egyptians used the vast Saqqara necropolis to lay their dead to rest. In addition to housing countless treasures in its elaborate tombs, the burial site boasts the Step Pyramid of Djoser, a colossal structure perhaps best known as the region’s first pyramid.
This week, Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities announced the latest archaeological wonder to surface at the ancient necropolis: a cache of at least 13 sealed, roughly 2,500-year-old coffins. Link

Archaeologists in southern Jerusalem have discovered the ruins of a luxurious, 2,700-year-old palace, report Ruth Schuster and Ariel David for Haaretz.
The finds—unearthed along a ridge near the Armon Hanatziv Promenade—include three limestone column capitals, or toppers, and dozens of stone artifacts, per a statement from the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA). Link

Accordingly, these tools are useful to build microbial cell factories not only by reconstructing the genome but also by reprogramming the metabolic network. Link
Last Word
And the thing was known to Mordecai, who told it unto Esther the queen; and Esther certified the king thereof in Mordecai's name.
And when inquisition was made of the matter, it was found out; therefore they were both hanged on a tree: and it was written in the book of the chronicles before the king. Esther 2:22-23
Mordechai was written in the King's book because of his actions. He first directed his thoughts toward the King and then took action. This is similar to our walk of faith where we must contemplate and think about the Word of God and its application of our life, this counts, as Jesus Himself says, but we also need to take action on the wise counsel of the Word of God. Action, just do it.
Every thought and action is written in our King's Books. There are the Books of King Jesus with our thoughts and actions. Without King Jesus's atonement we can be blotted our and erased from eternal life in heaven with Him. Our life would be eternal but in the abyss of eternal torment. I do not see it in scripture but I wonder if Satan has a book with the names of his followers?
Then there is and Lamb's Book of Life which is different than the record of our thoughts and actions. This precious Book contains those names who chose the sacrificial gift of Jesus. His blood offering has erased each of our sins, as if they never were. They are blotted out and only our name in His grace and radiance remains.
Whose book will you be written in? My prayer is that it is King Jesus.
