Space and Earth Weather

Our sun is at its low spot in the 11-year sun cycle, so all is quiet right now.  That said there would be a coronal connection between the sun and earth today or at the latest tomorrow.

Superstorms knocked out power to many people in British Columbia.

Government

Another disturbing concern over 5G a system that requires the commingling of fascist actors.

The next-generation network doesn’t work like the current one. Staying safe will require a new relationship between business and government.

The Trump administration’s approach to fifth-generation wireless networks has been a confused mash-up of trade negotiations, commercial competition, and national security concerns, all epitomized by its focus on barring equipment from Chinese manufacturer Huawei. Regrettably, this drowned out any discussion of a more significant problem: because of the way 5G works, banning one company’s gear won’t keep our data safe — and nor will even the best cybersecurity practices of today. If America is to harness the promise of 5G in a world of malign online actors, there must be a new relationship between business and government.

Geopolitical

The CCPA is not about your privacy; it is about new revenue and customer loyalty goals.  Leave it to California to model its new program after the bitter and contentious EU model.

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) will go into effect on January 1, 2020, and is slated to be one of the most stringent data privacy laws in the US. The bill will expand and enforce the rights of California consumers in several new regulatory areas, and businesses will be required to be extremely transparent about how they are collecting, using and disclosing their customers’ data.

This new privacy law reflects a global trend of the growing importance for brands to invest in data governance, security, orchestration, and automation. Regulatory compliance is now equating to the quality of a company’s brand.

Like the recent GDPR law in the European Union, the CCPA reinforces the modern theme that operating a real-time, secure, and auditable platform for collecting, enriching and activating customer data has become mandatory - not only for compliance objectives but also for new revenue and customer loyalty goals.

After 9/11, U.S. Intelligence Reinvented Itself. It’s Time to Do It Again

New York City firefighters work near the area known as Ground Zero after the collapse of the Twin Towers September 11, 2001 in New York City.

After missing the Sept. 11 plot, spy agencies reoriented toward terrorism. Now technological threats require a new round of reforms.

The threat landscape is changing dramatically—just as it did after the Cold War—and not because of a single emerging terrorist group or a rising nation-state.  Advances in artificial intelligence, open-source internet-based computing, biotechnology, satellite miniaturization, and a host of other fields are giving adversaries new capabilities; eroding America’s intelligence lead; and placing even higher demands on intelligence agencies to separate truth from deception.

The potential for deepfake deceptions in global politics gets scary very quickly. Imagine a realistic seeming video showing an invasion, or a clandestine nuclear program, or policymakers discussing how to rig the election. Soon, even seeing won’t be believing. Deception has always been part of espionage and warfare, but not like this.

The wholesale reimagining of intelligence will be coming upon us in the new technological era. In the past, intelligence advantage went to the side that collected better secrets, created better technical platforms (such as billion-dollar spy satellites), and recruited better analysts to outsmart the other side. In the future, intelligence will increasingly rely on open information collected by anyone, advanced code, and platforms that can be accessed online for cheap or for free, and algorithms that can process vast amounts of data faster and better than humans. It is a whole new world. The U.S. intelligence community will implement a severe strategic effort to identify how these intelligence agencies can gain and sustain the edge while safeguarding civil liberties [which frankly will not be preserved, according to everyone but the most gullible] in a radically different technological landscape.

 Food Supply

UN WARNING: FOOD IS GOING TO GET REALLY, REALLY EXPENSIVE

A new era has begun with the UN beginning to divide your access of food into kilo-calories, which is 1/100th of a calorie, to pay for its unpopular agenda items such as Climate Change.  DARPA is experimenting with breaking food down to the molecular level and charging you by the molecule.  Hard to believe, but true. This at a time in history when food production is plummeting.

Cannibalism: Professor Says Eating Human Flesh Will Save Planet From ‘Climate Change’

Steve Quayle had it right when he said the volcanoes and cannibalism together would be a sign of the End of Days.

Heavenlies

Most of us enjoyed blowing bubbles in our youth.  Scientists have discovered towering balloon-like structures (bubbles) located near the center of the Milky Way.

A newly spotted pair of radio-emitting bubbles reach hundreds of light-years tall, dwarfing all other structures in the central region of the galaxy. The team believes the enormous, hourglass-shaped structure likely is the result of a phenomenally energetic burst that erupted near the Milky Way's center. What is intriguing is check out the verses in Holy Scripture that talk about bubbles being wisdom, Living Water [of creation], and health!  Another case of spiritual truth being seen in the heavenly, a sign to us all and the signature of God.

They are bubbling with joy as they walk in procession and enter the royal palace. Psalm 45:15

The words of a man's mouth are deep waters; The fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook. Proverbs 18:4

But whoever takes a drink of the water that I will give him shall never, no never, be thirsty any more. But the water that I will give him shall become a spring of water welling up (flowing, bubbling) [continually] within him unto (into, for) eternal life. John 4:14

In these lay a significant number of sick folk -- "some blind, some crippled, and some paralyzed (shriveled up) -- " waiting for the bubbling up of the water.  John 5:3

May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope. Romans 15:13

Bubbles in the galactic plane.  Scientists can't explain it, but the Divine Creator painted bubbles in the galaxies.  Only God could create such a masterpiece

Tonight check out  a Rare Harvest ‘Micromoon’ Will Light Up the Sky on Friday the 13th

The United States hasn’t experienced a nation-wide full moon on this superstitious date since 2000

The Harvest micro moon is a rare occurrence, according to Amatulli. Typically, the moon rises at an average of 50 minutes later each day, but around the time of the autumnal equinox, that difference shrinks to just 30 minutes each day. “The reason for this seasonal circumstance is that at this time of the year, the path of the moon through the sky is as close to being along the horizon as it can get,” the Farmer’s Almanac explains. “Thus, from night-to-night, the moon moves more horizontally than vertically and thus rises sooner from one night to the next.”
  • First time in 13 years
  • Last for 13 hours
  • On Friday the 13th

Look up!  Signs in the heavens are occurring almost daily now.

Earth Changes

The waves of electromagnetic radiation flooding the atmosphere are arousing silica-rich volcanoes for their drowsy slumbers.  Ancient, slumbering, and ongoing are growing restless as they reawaken.

Practical Tips

I often hear the question, "Why don't my family and friends get it?"  I learned the answer to that question decades ago at FEMA.  After learning the answer, I tested it in every discipline in my life, and it held.

3% of people will consistently do something.

7% of people will do something once or twice.

90% of people will do nothing even if it means their death

Those are the cold, brutal facts.  Test it for yourself, and you will discover it to be the truth.  It will hold from the church and walk of faith to the board room.

Ancient Civilizations

I have always been impressed with the respect and honor the Swiss people give to their deceased.  There is not much of that in America where we quickly burn the dead, out of sight and mind.

Unearthed

Why This Paleolithic Burial Site Is So Strange (and So Important)

An ancient interment site in Russia challenges us to rethink how Paleolithic humans in Europe treated their dead and organized their societies.  These ancient peoples honored the lives of their loved ones more than modern man.  They adorned the deceased with ivory and respect.  While Scripture frowns on adornment with jewelry and such it does encourage one to adorn themselves with the garments of a righteous lifestyle and the inner beauty of biblical character.  Check out adornment!

Medical

Have you tried telemedicine?  While convenient, most insurance companies have not jumped on board to cover telemedicine, and some physicians are hesitant to use the practice.

Prescriptions on Demand: The Growth of Direct-to-Consumer Telemedicine Companies (JAMA) Direct-to-consumer (DTC) advertising for medications and other health-related products and services has been a prominent part of the health care landscape in the United States. More recently, DTC drug telemedicine has become increasingly popular as a model of care delivery.

Eye Pupil Dilation Might Serve as Screening Test for Alzheimer’s

University of California San Diego School of Medicine researchers say that with further developments measuring how quickly a person’s pupil dilates while they are taking cognitive tests may be a low-cost, low-invasive method to aid in screening individuals at increased genetic risk for Alzheimer’s disease (AD) before cognitive decline begins.
