The reality of this is that once a Public Health Emergency is declared the rule of law basically transfers to the UN. This has huge Constitutional issues as the Public Health Emergency suspends the Constitution. As Medical Martial Law was declared in 2016, laying in wait, if a disaster hits the US it could possibly lead to a generalized martial law.
HHS Secretary Azar Declares Public Health Emergency for Puerto Rico Following Earthquakes (HHS)
A series of earthquakes and aftershocks in Puerto Rico this week prompted Health and Human Services Secretary Alex. M. Azar II to declare a public health emergency for the U.S. territory. In declaring the public health emergency and authorizing flexibilities for CMS beneficiaries, Secretary Azar acted within his authority under the Public Health Service Act and Social Security Act. These actions and flexibilities are retroactive to Dec. 28, 2019.

France: Iran Could Have Nuclear Weapon within One to Two Years
French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian has warned that Iran could have nuclear weapons in one or two years if Tehran continues to violate a landmark nuclear accord with world powers. Before the nuclear deal between Iran and the leading world powers was signed in October 2015, Iran’s dash-to-the-bomb break-out time was estimated to be between two and five months. The various clauses of the nuclear deal had increased Iran’s break-out time to 12-18 months and the deal would have kept Iran’s nuclear program in that state until 2030. Since the U.S, withdrew from a deal on 8 May 2018, Iran has systematically, if carefully and slowly, breached more and more of the restrictions imposed on its nuclear program in 2015. Read more

Massive dust towers may have dried up water supplies on Mars
Violent dust storms that engulf the entire planet may explain why the surface is so dry.
In May 2018, Mars witnessed one of its worst storms. Amid the chaos, plumes of dust erupted up from the planet’s surface, towering as high as 35 miles. The storm was so severe that it claimed the life of NASA’s Opportunity rover, smothered by hazy darkness that blocked out its solar battery panel. The last signal received from Opportunity was on June 10, 2018. NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter confirmed the death when it spotted its limp robotic body later that year. Read more

Blizzard rescue on Icelandic Glacier
In an article by the Reykjavík Grapevine, it was reported that 39 tourists, including several children, needed rescuing from the Langjökull glacier on January 8th.
The tour was reportedly stranded on the glacier “for several hours” as a violent snowstorm descended.
Thankfully, there were no fatalities, but some of the party suffered frostbite to their fingers, and one woman needed to be transported to the hospital. Read more

Mixco Viejo (Jilotepeque Viejo)
A ruined Maya city that suffered a years-long case of mistaken identity.
Unlike the more famous Maya ruins scattered throughout Central America, Mixco Viejo (Jilotepeque Viejo) attracts only the odd trickle of tourists. The remarkably well-preserved city is so obscure, even archaeologists mislabeled it.
For many years, archaeologists and historians believed this ruined city was the capital of the Poqomam Maya, thanks to the errors of early colonial explorers. It wasn’t until linguist Robert M. Carmack noticed Jilotepeque Viejo lay well outside the linguistic area normally associated with the Poqomam kingdom that people realized the site was actually Jilotepeque Viejo, capital of the Chajoma Kaqchikel kingdom. However, its original name stuck. Now, the site is commonly referred to as Mixco Viejo (Jilotepeque Viejo) to set it apart from the true Poqomam capital. Read more

The Spellbinding Swedish Song That Calls Cows Home
For centuries, herdswomen have lured cows with haunting melodies.
When Jonna Jinton was twelve, she heard a song that would change the course of her life. During a school field trip to a music museum in her home country of Sweden, Jinton and her classmates were instructed to clasp their hands over their ears. The tour guide then let out a cry—a haunting, high-pitched song that rattled the room. Some students might have clamped their hands over their pulsing ears even harder, but Jinton, taken by the sound, wanted to hear it. “I didn’t want to keep my hands over my ears,” she recalls. “It was the most beautiful thing I had ever heard. It was so strong.”

An Elusive ‘Corpse Lily’ Bloomed Larger Than Ever Before in Indonesia
The massive red flower also smelled really, really bad.
Somewhere in the forests of West Sumatra, Indonesia, on the last night of 2019, a noxious flower was unfurling its petals and letting a really big one rip. The flower in question was a Rafflesia tuan-mudae, often called the corpse lily for the fleshy fumes it emits when blooming. Rafflesia sightings are often noteworthy, drawing crowds as large as 200 to the remote stretches of the jungle where they bloom. This particular Rafflesia was also historic: Its bloom, which reached a diameter of 43.7 inches, is the largest ever recorded for the species, according to West Sumatra’s Natural Resources and Conservation Center.
Aside from their unholy stench, flowers in the genus Rafflesia, which lack leaves and roots, aren’t ordinary flowers. They’re parasites, living inside the vines of the genus Tetrastigma. “Rafflesias attach to the body of another, and grow at the expense of that plant,” says Ross Koning, a biologist at Eastern Connecticut State University who manages the campus greenhouse. “They can’t flower until they’ve gotten enough energy from the host, so these plants flower very rarely, and you have to hunt them.” Rafflesia doesn’t just smell like rotting meat, it looks like it too. Its flopping crimson petals are the color of raw venison, adorned with the kind of white flecks you might find on a poisonous mushroom. But the blooms last just a week before they wither and die.

Herod’s Death, Jesus’ Birth, and a Lunar Eclipse

Both Luke and Matthew mention Jesus’ birth as occurring during Herod’s reign (Luke 1:5; Matthew 2:1). Josephus relates Herod’s death to a lunar eclipse. This is generally regarded as a reference to a lunar eclipse in 4 B.C. Therefore it is often said that Jesus was born in 4 B.C.
But physics professor John A. Cramer, in a letter to BAR, has pointed out that there was another lunar eclipse visible in Judea—in fact, two—in 1 B.C., which would place Herod’s death—and Jesus’ birth—at the turn of the era. The reason this is on my radar is that since World War II there has been extensive research on integrating venom into our foods and pharmaceuticals. It is a dangerous trend. Either, these venom's have to some degree been deployed, or they are quite close. It will not be labeled and if it goes public it will be sold as a public good. See the second article.

New Technique to Transform Anti-Venom Production
Snake bites kill more than 120,000 people a year, more than a third of them in India. About 400,000 lose limbs after amputations become necessary to prevent the spread of the venom. The number of people bitten by snakes is increasing as a result of more people living near areas which are snake habitats, but the production of venom antidotes has not changed much since anti-venom was first produced in 1896. Scientists are ready to transform the production of anti-venom after mapping the DNA of the Indian cobra for the first time. Read more

This passage has been on my mind of late. The reason is that during December there was a news silence in the places and sources I visit to bring you the news. Some of that is common given the time of year, but this year it was a peculiar silence, unnatural. I dug into the depths and it was silent. I cannot help but wonder in retrospect with news breaking in torrents once 2020 commenced if this was silence in heaven and demic forces before everything lets loose. Just a thought.
